Back to the blog, out of reality.
These last few months have been a killer for me. I had Juno and Jove fall and holiday windows kicking my butt! I don’t know if you know, but I am not so tech savvy. I hand make so many things, staring that the abyss of paper most of the day that I haven’t been able to get myself onto my computer. I know we live in a tech world, but I find life to be more appealing on intimate levels of primitive nature. I could go on, and on about the importance of the human senses as they relate to experience….
This post is about me, getting sucked into the black hole of my art cave. It has been awesome to dedicate 350 or so hours in 4 months to art making. Followed by installing, de-installation, reorganizing and creating a new presentation. I am tired!
With this being said, a semi-vacation is in store for me December 4-10 when I make my way down and over to Miami for Art Basel. I am calling this a ‘semi-vaca’ because I am showing and working at SELECT Fair at the Catalina Hotel. I will be holding the space down with my fellow S/ART/Q artists, running around the city looking at art, attending VIP events, trying to relax (if i can remember how to) and going to my future sister-in-law’s bridal shower. This is going to be an experience within itself and will be the 6th time I have returned to Miami for Basel and my first time showing there.
The thing I will miss the most next week will be this guy.
