Identifying Characters

Identifying characters interprets an individual’s collected items or material possessions. Each piece is representative of a living person through shape while the kaleidoscopes represent people who have passed away into the spirit world. The series was created between 2017-January 2018.

“My Partner’s Music (Hexagons)” Hand dyed velvet, utility cotton, silver leaf, clear dura-lar film, dye, screening spline, wire, wood, paint. Size: 45”x35”x8”

“My Postcards (Kite)” Hand dyed velvet, watercolor paper, thread, chain, wire, kitsch gems. Size: site situational; averages 48” circumference by 8’ height.
